Phobya's new Laing top made from solid metal!
The combination of a Laing DDC pump with a replacement top is very common nowadays as it offers even better performance on one of the most versatile pumps available in the watercoolinf market.
Following the concept of solid performance and great versatility Phobya presents this new top: Solid design, many innovative features and in a whole new look!
The top is made from solid brass and is available in black or silver nickel, both versions polished to a mirror finish. This solid metal design offers the most safe and robust ''packaging'' for your pump rotor! Mounting is also no longer a risk as the top eliminates the risk of breaking and splitting plastic!
Looking closer at the top you will notice the multiple connection options. Traditionally and for maximum compatibility all connection threads are 1/4" threads. Two pairs of connection threads, one on the top and one on the side of the top, will allow virtually all combinations you will ever need! All threads are marked with IN or OUT to makes sure that the right threads are used. The special feature is also that the inlet may be used of one of the pair of threads and the outlet can be used from the other set of threads! The unused threads can be sealed with the included scree plugs in the same finish as the top!
Mounting of the top on the pump was another point which was considered and simplified by the developers at Phobya. For installation only 4 screws at the bottom of the pump have to be removed, allowing the original top to be removed. Simply leave the gasket in its groove, put on the new top and use the improved, included, screw to fixate the top.
Now comes the question of how to mount the pump. Phobya has included a simple and effective solution with this top: A self-adhesive foam rubber sheet is included which allow easy decoupling when the pump is standing on the case floor. But this top offers even more possibilities: One of the most popular mounting methods is mounting in an empty drive bay. We offer great solutions under the item numbers 52010 or 52007.
